Albany family raises money for wheelchair van modifications
ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
An Albany family is seeking funds to help with modifications for their new wheelchair accessible van.
The Hall family recently purchased this van for their two children. Nineteen year old Tifton and 15-year-old Bethany who suffer from a rare genetic brain condition called Delayed Myelin.
They started the "Help the Hall's Haul project" raising money to purchase the van. They now need about five thousand dollars for modifications in the van.
“This will be so much easier. We have doctor appointments, school. Like if we miss the school bus for certain reasons we can take them to school. It'll be real easy to take them to school. That's our main places is the doctor and school,” said Dawn Hall.
An anonymous donor donated $5,000 to the family on Friday.
