ALBANY, GA (WALB) - On Saturday afternoon, the Darton State Cavaliers hosted the Wallace Dothan Governors for a double header.
Darton won game one 1-0.
In game two, the Cavs trailed by that same score through three innings.
In the bottom of the fourth inning, a base hit with one out by Colton Thomas rejuvenated the Cavs dugout.
The next hitter, Tavin Thompson, would hit a single to right, and end up with an extra base on an error.
That put runners in scoring position, with Thompson at second and Colton Thomas at third.
Max Thomas would bring Colton Thomas home with a base, tying the game at one.
Thomas would then steal second, which put two in scoring position.
Then, an RBI single by Tyler Morris gave the Cavs a 2-1 lead.
John Cable would follow Morris with another RBI single, to give the Cavs a 3-1 lead.
The Cavs would take that fourth inning lead and extend it to a 4-2 final score.
The Cavaliers have won four straight and are 5-3 on the year.
