BAINBRIDGE, GA (WALB) - Bainbridge Public Safety officers said they're happy they've maintained the same high ISO rating over the years, but they're confident they can do better.
Currently, the city of Bainbridge has an ISO rating of four.
But Chief Eric Miller says they're working with the city and the water department to continue inspecting and improving equipment in order to get down to a three.
Miller says their goal is to save tax payers money while providing the best quality of protection.
"We are seven-tenths of a point away from being a three," said Miller. "Now that's not thousands of dollars difference in a premium, but it's hundreds of dollars. And in today's economy, that's a lot of money."
Miller said they plan to appeal their current rating and will see if their hard work pays off later this year.
