South Georgia 8th grader named to State's Student Advisory Council

LEE CO., GA (WALB) - A Lee County eight grader is named to the State's Student Advisory Council.

Thirteen year old Zizi Ohamadike is one of 64 students selected out of more than a thousand applicants.

The council provides feedback to state leaders on policies that impact the classroom.

She already has a few education reform ideas.

Ohamadike will attend her first council meeting with the State School Superintendent in Atlanta at the end of this month.
