ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Flint Riverquarium is adding some new gadgets thanks to a grant.
The Darsey Family Foundation gave money for a new interactive touch tank for the lobby.
The 150-gallon tank will be added in about a month and will allow visitors to interact with hermit crabs, starfish, and other creatures.
"Children like to touch and feel. They like to play games with their hands. If they see a picture, They think one thing but if they get to touch and understand a horshoe crab," said Emily McAfee, CEO of Flint Riverquarium.
The Darsey Family Foundation has a history of supporting environmental and conservation causes.
