CORDELE, GA (WALB) - A Cordele city commissioner charged with aggravated assault is set to attend Tuesday night's commission meeting. Jamie Fernandez took a leave of absence after he was arrested January 15th--accused of attacking his wife.
Some constituents worried his absence meant they weren't being represented, but the chairman says that's not the case.
"Everybody is being represented. We have a good commission representing; nothing has been missed out on so far," said Chairman Zack Wade.
Fernandez is up for re-election this year but has not announced if he will run.
