West Gordon and Westtown wreck involved four

A four car wreck at West Gordon  and Westtown Road and Elm Street blocked traffic Monday.

Traffic was re-routed off Gordon Avenue.

Georgia State Patrol Troopers said a Cadillac driven by 46-year-old Wanchita Simmons hit a Suburban in the rear, as the suburban was turning left onto Westtown.

The Suburban spun around and collided into a Nissan SUV and a pickup truck.

Two people in the Nissan, 57-year-old Geraldine Cochran of Albany and 36-year-old Jerry Cochran, were transported by ambulance to the hospital where they were treated and released.

Simmons was cited for following too close.
