Southern Rock music isn't usually what comes to mind when you think 'ballet.'
But Friday night, the South Georgia Ballet partnered with The Thomasville Center for the Arts for “FUSE Boots & Ballet.”
Artwork from Savannah artist Ridley Stallings was on display before the performance.
Dancers performed to songs such as 'The Devil Went Down to Georgia' and other southern-inspired music.
Marketing Director Callie Sewell said, “It's very different from your stereotypical idea of ballet. We want you to come in your boots instead of your bow tie. Just kick back and have a good time.”
Dana King and the Gypsy Cotton band performed at the after party.
The performances and art exhibition were part of an annual fusion event between TCA and SGB.
