LEESBURG, GA (WALB) - An area salon is hoping folks will support a fundraiser for a Lee County woman.

Regina Raburn with Blonde, Inc. Salon in Leesburg is hosting an event for Shelley Sunshine Sunday afternoon from 1 to 4.

Sunshine has Lipedema and Lymphedema, which can be very painful and cause mobility problems.

She's currently in Germany for three surgeries, and her therapy afterwards is not covered by insurance.

"When it came to Shelley I said there's just no way we're going to pass this up when she's one of the number one fundraisers out there. She's really a go-getter. She'll help anybody do anything. So it's our turn to give it back; give some love and some hugs," said Raburn.

Raburn invites folks to come out for cake and haircuts in exchange for a donation for Shelley.
