The Georgia Cotton Commission held workshops for farmers Wednesday to learn how to get the most out their crops.The 8th annual meeting is held with the UGA Cotton
Production Workshop by the Research & Extension Cotton Team. People simply interested in the cotton industry were also invited.
Organizers say this year's workshops are helping farmers deal with low cotton prices.
"A lot of what we do through the commissions programs, particularly in research, is do things to help farmers be more efficient and weather these rough times."
Cotton prices have dropped to a 7 year low at 60 cents. There were several speakers, including members from the National Cotton Council and Cotton Incorporated.
