Albany city commissioners approve traffic calming policy

Albany residents may no longer have to pay for safety measures to slow down drivers in their neighborhoods.

City commissioners approved a change to the traffic calming policy.

Until now, if homeowners requested speed bumps they had to pay the full cost.

Now, if the city determines speed bumps are needed in an area the city commission will decide whether to pay for the entire cost or how much homeowners will have to share.
