VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - Valdosta State University was trying to make people more aware Monday of its Alzheimer's care program.
The university's Alzheimer's care center held an open house from noon to 5 p.m. Monday. People had the chance to tour the facility and ask questions about specific programs or services the center offers.
The care center's executive director, Dr. Dorothy Dye, said the center has been popular with the community since it opened in 2000.
"We just want the community to know that we're here, to know what we offer to families in terms of caring for their loved ones as well as caregivers caring for themselves,"
