The Telfair Sheriff's Office is searching for a man they have identified as a suspect in the investigation of a missing Cobb County couple.

According to the Telfair Sheriff's Office Facebook page  they have two active arrests warrants out for Ronnie “Jay” Adrian Towns.

One warrant is for making false statements to investigators and the other is for criminal attempt to commit theft by deception.

Twenty-eight year old Towns is approximately 6 feet 4 inches tall and has blue eyes.

The couple was last seen Thursday.

The Telfair County Sheriff's Office said that Bud and June Runion were driving a 2003 champagne-colored GMC Envoy.

The Telfair County Sheriff's Office has received various tips and leads that they are looking into.

Sheriff Steverson did not go into details about what tips they have received.

Bud and June are both Caucasian and in their late 60's.

Family members said the couple left from Marietta to go to McRae to look at a 1966 Mustang that was on Craigslist.

Sheriff Steverson also said they have been working with Delkalb County, G.B.I., Georgia State Patrol and Cobb County Sheriff's Offices in this search.

An investigator with the Coffee County Sheriff's Office said they have also helped with the investigation some, but would not go into detail at this time.

Helicopters have also been called in as well. They have been canvassing areas around McRae.

The family of the Runions have put together a facebook page to help in the search for the couple.

If you have any information, you are asked to contact Telfair County Sheriff's Office at (229) 868-6621.
