VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - Valdosta Police have arrested a man they believe may have been dealing cocaine.
22 year-old Lashayne Kelly was arrested just before 1 p.m. Thursday at his home at 517 Hudson Street.
Investigators found around two dozen baggies of cocaine packaged for sale inside the home. "They arrested Mr. Kelly for possession with intent to distribute cocaine; a little over six grams of cocaine. But, it was individually packaged in small baggies. Approximately twenty four baggies," explained Valdosta Police Department Lt. Aaron Kirk.
Kirk said it was unclear Friday exactly what tipped investigators off that there may have been cocaine in the house.
Kelly remained in the Lowndes County Jail Friday.
