ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Keep Albany Dougherty Beautiful said thank you to volunteers who gave their time to keep our community looking good over the last year.
Today's luncheon saluted the more than 9,100 volunteers who helped with various cleanup projects.
The Volunteer of the Year Award went to Sabrina Brown for educating third graders on water quality in the Dougherty County School System.
She's been a volunteer for three years.
"That just opened up some opportunities for me to get into the Dougherty County School System with the third graders. I just have had so much fun. I can't wait to do it again," Brown said.
More than a million volunteers have helped keep our community clean through Keep Albany Dougherty Beautiful over the last quarter century.
