Fire Commissioner calls Tift fire 'suspicious'; reward offered

TIFT CO., GA (WALB) - A large nice home that had been under construction for nearly a year on Upper Ty Ty Road in Tift County burned to the ground a few days ago.

Now the state says the fire is suspicious.

Although it has not been determined to be intentionally set, Commissioner Ralph Hudgens is seeking the public assistance and offering a reward of up to $10,000 for any information about this fire.

The public should call the Arson Hotline at 800-282-5804 with any information. The house was destroyed and damage was estimated at $400,000.
