Man arrested for Americus arson

AMERICUS, GA (WALB) -  Americus police confirm that 37-year-old Kenneth Wesley Phillips was arrested for the arson fire last weekend at Farmer's Seed and Feed.

Employees at Farmers Seed and Feed say someone lit a tent on fire Saturday night and ran off as it burned. Nearly $5,000 worth of pine straw burned in the blaze.

The Fire Marshal offered a $1,000 reward for information on the arsonist.

Phillips also had a previous arson arrest.
