An Albany business is dedicated to keeping the sport of wrestling alive in South Georgia.

Alpha Omega Wrestling of South Georgia opened its doors last summer on Dawson Road. The center trains wrestlers from high schools in Dougherty, Lee and Thomas County. Their students also compete in tournaments throughout the state. The owner says he wants to give wrestlers more experience than what their learning at school.

"So for us, it was more of an opportunity to really be able to reach out to some kids with a sport that I think is probably the best sport in the world to really get them some experience, so that they can take it to the next level,” said Phil Arnold, Owner.

The center currently trains more than 40 wrestlers starting at age 5 to college students. The center is located at 2401 Dawson Road, Suite O.  Find out more information by clicking here.
