ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Community members are lacing up their skates to raise money for a Baconton teen.
The Stardust Skate Center in Albany is hosting "Helping Hannah" Tuesday night to raise money for Hannah Croker and her family.
The 14-year-old from Baconton is still recovering in an Atlanta hospital after a crash in November.
"We just want everyone to come out and support Hannah and support the family. It would mean the world to her and I know she wishes she could be here," said Fran Miles, Family friend.
"It's such a tragic accident with her age, and just in general. This helps the community get together and have fun at the same time," said Stardust Skate Center Manager Jason Watts.
Hannah is able to move her arms and has reflexes in her legs, despite doctors initially saying she was paralyzed from the neck down.
The event is from 6:00 to 8:30 Tuesday night. It's five dollars a person and all of that money will go to help pay Hannah's medical expenses.
