SYLVESTER, GA (WALB) - The manhunt continues for a hitchhiker charged with robbing a man Sunday in Worth County. Turner County deputies spent more than three hours in the woods Sunday afternoon.
The victim says he dropped the man off on Highway 32 after the robber turned a gun on him and took his wallet. Authorities say a search like this is very methodical.
"The guys ride the road, keep a perimeter set up. Watch for any kind of movement or anything like that while the dogs are inside the wood line with other officers on foot and just trying to find a trail," said Sgt. Bobby Caton with the Turner County Sheriff's Office.
The robber is described as Hispanic, wearing a red long-sleeve shirt and black pants, and carrying a red duffle bag. If you have information, call the Turner or Worth County Sheriff's office.
