People around the world are remembering and honoring the legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Carter's Grill and Restaurant will be closed tomorrow to honor the holiday. The owner, Eddie L. Carter, says he witnessed Dr. King in Albany during the 1960's.
Carter said there's so much we can still learn from Dr. King today.
“He's done so much for the city and the country as a whole and we've been able to enjoy so much," said Eddie Carter, owner.
" He taught all of us to stand up for what we believe in and do not back down and that we should all be equal,” said Lainer Johnson, Customer.
An MLK celebration will be held at the Albany Civic Center on Monday at 5:30.
