ALBANY, GA (WALB) - More than 150 students at Martin Luther King Junior Elementary enjoyed fun activities Friday tailored to celebrate the dream of Dr. King.
The 21st Century After School program stepped up to make sure children are continuing on the legacy of Martin Luther King.
"We see some of the violence that's going on in the city, if we want to change that it starts with the children. so by being able to get them at such a young working with first through third graders it offers us an opportunity to instill this on the inside of them and teach them about equality," said Carl White.
The Albany Area YMCA and the Dougherty County Schools also helped with the activities, which included lessons about respect and diversity.
