ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Tax preparers have some things for you to look out for as you file your 2014 taxes.
H&R Block representatives says lookout of any type of identify fraud on your taxes.
The IRS and tax preparers will be watching more closely to 'how' and 'who' are filing tax returns this year.
"Sometimes dependents fall into different categories. They don't always have the last name of the tax payer. That will be closely looked at," said representative Victor Harris. "Household and the word qualifier has been redefined. Household now means if you claim a person on your taxes chances are they are going to look more closely at that person being a member of your household."
When filing tax returns, you must have a picture ID and your W-2.
The first day you can file is Tuesday, January 20th.
