Armed Robbery Investigation continues

Dougherty County Police investigators continue to review surveillance video, hunting for two masked gunmen who robbed the clerk outside the Pitt Stop Convenience store on Sylvester Road Thursday night.

The clerk, 26-year- old Megan Abraham, ran to another nearby convenience store following the robbery.

Dougherty County Police Lt. Chad Kirkpatrick says Abraham had closed at 10pm, and got in her car when two masked men with pistols jumped her, but the clerk was not hurt. "They demanded money from her. They demanded she open up the store. She did refuse to open the store back up because of the alarm system. So she stole her purse which had some money in it. And they fled the scene on foot."

The robbers are described as about 5' 9" tall. One was dressed in all black, the other had a yellow and purple jacket wrapped over his face.
