DAWSON, GA (WALB) -

A Terrell County teen is getting ready for a big clothing giveaway to help folks in need.

Marquavious Johnson is 13 years old, and has collected more than 1,500 items of clothing over the past two years.

The 7th grader says he just wanted to do something to help others.

He plans to give away the clothes, that range from infant to adult sizes.

"[I] just wanted to help people with no clothes and want them to be warm and other things," said Johnson.

Johnson says looking at the huge pile of clothes makes him feel happy knowing he's helping others.

The clothing giveaway is Saturday from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at the Citgo gas station on South Main Street in Dawson.
