DOUGHERTY CO., GA (WALB) - A Dougherty County man was tazed by officers after running from them twice during a traffic stop.
Ellery Simmons was charged with obstruction and misdemeanor marijuana possession.
About 6:20 Tuesday night Simmons sped away when Dougherty County Police pulled him over for running a stop sign on Oakridge Drive.
Officers found him on Hickory Lane where he attempted to run from officers but was stopped with a stun device.
Simmons was released from jail on $3000 bond Wednesday.
