Duo charged for selling stolen items online


We learned Tuesday night a couple accused of stealing items from Walmart and selling them online were arrested Monday in Sumter County.

Amanda Polk and David Walls of Smithfield since bonded out.

Deputies say for about six months they sold thousands of dollars worth of stolen items through an online yard sale on Facebook to people in Sumter, Schley and Dougherty counties. They are charged with retail property fencing and Theft by shoplifting. 

Investigators are still trying to recover the stolen items.
