THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - A deadline to sign up for health insurance is quickly approaching, as part of the Affordable Care Act.

Folks in Thomasville got a little extra help from brokers at Archbold Memorial Hospital Friday.

They learned whether they qualify for subsidies and how much help they could get to pay for insurance.

Some people find it all a bit overwhelming. "A lot of people are nervous about it because they don't understand it. So the best thing is to call somebody. Call your nearest agent. They've got a couple of places that you can call, you can even call the marketplace directly and they can explain it," said Agent Andy Dixon.

You have until February 15th to sign up for a policy, or you'll be charged a fee. We've got a link with this story at walb.com to provide you with a lot of information.
