ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Albany State University Center for the African American Male presented a seminar called How to Respond to Authority.
Following numerous high-profile and deadly encounters between police and civilians. The group invited ASU students and the community to discuss safety with law enforcement and how to stay on the right side of the law.
"Even though we have one of the safest campuses in the state of Georgia, we want to make our young males on the campus aware as well as some of the high school mentees about how to respond to authority and also how to safe guard themselves when given spoken directions," said Antonio Leroy.
The panel was led by officers from the Albany State Police Department.
