Wernick makes 100 most influential Georgian's list

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Georgia Trend magazine's new list of the 100 most influential Georgians includes just one person from south Georgia area.

Phoebe Putney Health System President and CEO Joel Wernick once again made the list.

He says the recognition is a team win for the whole Phoebe family.

”There's about 45-hundred of us doing things. I don't touch any patients. But I enable and provide services that help may great care givers provide care to all the citizens of this region and who are here looking for the services they need,” said Wernick.

Wernick has been with Phoebe for 26-years.

Retired U.S. Senator Saxby Chambliss from Moultrie did not make this year's list but was added to the magazine's Influential Georgians Hall of Fame.

And Representative Sanford Bishop was listed as a notable Georgian.
