THOMAS CO., GA (WALB) - For students at a Thomas County charter school... the new year brought a new building and new opportunities to succeed.
A $3 million renovation at Bishop Hall Charter School gives students and faculty an entirely new facility with a new gymnasium and cafeteria.
A nearly $1 million grant provided by the state allowed the school to purchase high-end technologies such as SmartBoards and electronic libraries.
Principal Chris Huckans said, "The opportunities this building provides help students become more competitive and confident so when they go into the workforce, or school, or military, they'll already have a lot more of the skills and things that they need to be successful."
The school is now offering night classes to accommodate non-traditional students.
