Two Albany men indicted for leading GSP on high speed chases

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -       The Dougherty District Attorney says he will seek maximum penalties against two men indicted for leading Troopers on high speed chases through Albany.
Willie Bush, Junior and James Singleton were indicted in separate cases.

Prosecutors say Bush drove close to 100 miles per hour on the wrong side of the Liberty Expressway in an escape attempt in September 2013.

They say a year later Singleton struck a woman's car on Stuart Avenue, injuring her, while trying to outrun a Trooper.

Dougherty District Attorney Greg Edwards said "This is a situation that brings extreme danger to the entire community. Individuals engaging in these chases, and that is alleged to have happened in both of these instances."

Both men could face more than 20-years in prison if convicted.
