Albany group brings people together for good cause

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

A growing group in Albany is working to bring people from all walks of life together to have a good time to help good causes.

The Good Life Social Club is a gay-straight Alliance that hosts social events and donates 100 percent of the proceeds to charity.

Their latest event will be Wednesday's New Year's Eve Masquerade Ball at the Flint Riverquaruim to benefit the Riverquarium and the American Red Cross.

“With Charity and Philanthropy in mind. Our slogan is party with a purpose. We will create events for charity or work with a charity existing event. Provide volunteer support and any other way we can help them out,” Anthony King, Good Life Social Club.

The Good Life Social Club's first big event was last year's New Year's Eve party.

Tomorrow's ball starts at 9 p.m.

Tickets are $30 and will be available at the door.
