ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Chehaw Cycling hosted Dash through the Dark.
Runners went on a non-timed three mile run through the Christmas lights and trails Tuesday evening.
They also enjoyed free hot dogs and hot chocolate and a bonfire.
Organizers decided to put on this event after a successful bike ride kicked of the Festival of Lights.
"Raise awareness through the community that the trails are out here. Get them involved in the park and at the same time run through the festival of lights and the trail. Its something different, a different kind of event," Josh Fix, Community organizer.
The cost was $10 with proceeds benefiting Chehaw Cycling.
