Man dies after Worth Co. weekend crash

WORTH CO., GA (WALB) -

Georgia State Patrol has confirmed one of the two people injured in a Saturday crash in Worth County died from his injuries.

The crash happened on Hwy. 33 North around 10 a.m.

Investigators said 53-year-old Anthony Landrum died Sunday night at Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon.

Emergency crews airlifted him to the hospital in critical condition on Saturday after the crash.

According to a report, Landrum was driving his Ford pickup in the northbound lane when it crossed the center line into the southbound lane, colliding with a tractor trailer driven by 63-year-old Kenneth Tyner of Colquitt County.

Tyner was taken to Phoebe Worth Medical Center.

The tractor trailer was carrying diesel fuel, that spilled on the highway. Hazmat crews were called to clean up the spill.
