Tuesday, Valdosta police were trying to figure out who fired several shots at a house around 12:45 a.m.

Monica Williams, who lives at 3019 Schroer Dr., called police and reported that she heard between five and ten gunshots being fired near her house.

Police arrived on scene and found multiple bullet holes in the front of the house next door, at 3017 Schroer Dr.

43 year-old Kelvin Jackson and his son, 18 year-old Jalon Jackson, were inside at the time but were not hit. "When they were asked, they had no idea why anyone would wanna shoot at their house," said Valdosta Police Department Lieutenant Aaron Kirk. "[It's] still under investigation to find out whether or not anybody inside the house was actually targeted."

The victims were cooperating with police Tuesday.
