Arrest made in Lowndes shooting incident

VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has arrest warrants for Thomas George Joslyn, 52, of Cranston Circle in Valdosta. 

Joslyn is charged with three counts of Aggravated Assault Against a Police Officer, stemming from an incident that happened at his residence on December 19, 2014. 

Lowndes County Deputies Ssgt. Charles McEady, Sgt. Keith Jackson and David Bertsch responded to a call at Joslyn's residence, where there were allegations that Joslyn was threatening to commit suicide, with a weapon. 

When the Deputies arrived, Joslyn pointed the weapon at the Deputies and Ssgt. McEady shot Joslyn in the leg.

Joslyn was treated at the South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, and released into the custody of Lowndes County Deputies on December 29th for transport and processing at the Lowndes County Jail.
