Victims identified in East Albany shooting

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany Police have identified the victims in a Saturday night shooting in the 1300 block of East Residence Avenue in Albany.

Police say 40-year-old Timothy Zachary, Jr., was standing outside in his front yard around 9:25 p.m. when a bullet struck him. Zachary told police he heard several shots coming from a gray-colored vehicle that was parked in a nearby alley.

The other victim, 48-year-old Curtis Thomas, told police he was inside a home watching TV when a bullet grazed him.

So far, no arrests have been made.

Both Thomas and Zackery have been released from Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
