LEE CO., GA (WALB) - Lee County Public Works crews are preparing to tackle some big problems that recent flooding left behind.
Director Mike Sistrunk has been evaluating several areas of the county that were hit the hardest Wednesday morning.
One of the issues they've seen, other than standing water, are muddy roads.
Sistrunk said a lot of people have been driving through blocked off streets, and generating even more problems for residents.
Areas like Nesbitt and Spring Graves are still trying to recover from the massive amount of rain that left pools of water in crop fields.
Sistrunk is asking drivers to respect signs and blocks they put out for safety reasons.
Public works will have a full crew out on Monday to clean up.
