Last minute shoppers hit the Albany Mall

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Many retailers that depend on strong holiday season sales were busy Wednesday on the last day before Christmas.

Even around closing time Wednesday, The Albany Mall was still pretty crowded with people searching for the perfect gifts.

Some were able to find everything they needed, but others didn't have any luck waiting until Christmas Eve.

“I thought it might be less busy. I been surprised at how busy is still is. I figured I was the last one in the world to be out here today. But its been fun though,” said Dona Miller, shopper.

“We still haven't found anything we wanted to get or pick up,” Michael Richard, shopper

The Albany Mall will open back up Friday at 9 a.m.
