ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The ceiling of an Albany woman's home gave way after a sever thunderstorm passed over Albany early this morning.
Willie Ruth Washington, who is partially blind, says that she was awakened by a loud boom about 4:00AM, and investigated her Albany Housing apartment, in the 2100 block of West Gordon Avenue.
She discovered a huge pile of wet insulation in her living room.
"I came in and I went to walking on something. With my walker here. I was running over something, stuff with it. I knew something had happened. And the rain was dropping," she said.
Her son is with her as they try to contact Housing officials.
