Womack Workshop Students Make Christmas Art

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Albany Museum of Art is helped kids have a little a holiday fun while on vacation, Monday.

Pre-k Khrough fifth grade students put their art skills to work.

Art teachers at the museum helped kids design, draw and paint Christmas-themed art, including Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman.

"It definitely gets them a little more in the spirit, not like they need to," Director of Collections and Exhibitions David Griffin said. "But you know, it gets them a chance to get out here and do something fun with the other kids. You know, it's not school related. And, gives the parents a little time off from having to deal with that."

The Workshop will be open again tomorrow morning from 9 til noon.
