ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The North Korean hack on Sony could show a growing threat foreign countries pose to our economy. Senator Saxby Chambliss said the hack should open eyes in Washington and across our country.
He said tougher legislation is needed to curb cyber attacks. Chambliss said the Russians, Chinese, and Iranians are the biggest cyber attackers right now, but other countries are joining in.
"Even second-tier countries who simply don't like America are going to take the opportunity to come after us when they get a chance and that's why cyber security is going to become more and more important as we go forward," said Senator Saxby Chambliss.
Chambliss said it's unclear if the North Koreans got help from the Chinese, but it's something the US government will find out.
