ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Students at Deerfield-Windsor school got into the holiday spirit of giving Friday.

Each student bought a gift and placed them under this Christmas tree at the school's lower campus Friday morning. The presents are then passed along to Joe Farris, who hands them out to children at the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis.

"They say, ' thank you Santa Clause' and they hug my neck. My heart just melts and that's my Christmas Present. I didn't want no other gift, just the love from the children at St. Jude Hospital," said Farris, St. Jude "Real Santa Claus".

Farris and his team will arrive in Memphis with the gifts before Christmas. This is the 35th year Farris has teamed up with Deerfield Windsor school to provide for St. Jude patients.
