Suspect named in Brooks Co. double murder arrest

MORVEN, GA (WALB) -

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation arrested a Valdosta man in connection to a double murder case in Brooks County.

Anthony Ceasar, 33, is charged with two counts of malice murder, two counts of felony murder, and two counts of aggravated assault.

The arrest comes three months after the deaths of Wilbur and Anisa Mobley in Morven.

An investigation revealed the two were shot and killed. Both victims had multiple gunshot wounds.

According to a report, Wilbur and Anisa Mobley were both employed as prison guards at Valdosta State Prison.

Records showed Ceasar was also arrested and charged with murder in September in the Valdosta shooting death of Kenneth Johnson and shooting of Lashanda Williams.

Officials said Ceasar was being held at an undisclosed correctional facility, and expected to be taken to Brooks County for an arraignment.

The GBI worked jointly with the Morven Police Department, Brooks County Sheriff's Office, U.S. Marshals Office, Valdosta Police Department, Lowndes County Sheriff's Office, and Georgia Department of Corrections in the cases.
