Crash on U.S. 19 injures Albany woman

LEE CO., GA (WALB) -

An Albany woman was injured when her S-U-V was hit by a truck on U.S. 19 in southern Lee County Wednesday.

The Georgia State Patrol says 75-year old Linda Moye was turning from Endoline Drive when she was hit by a northbound tractor trailer driven by 41-year old Gary Harrison of Cairo.

Moye was taken to Phoebe Putney Hospital but troopers said her injuries were not life threatening.

“We had a first responder actually in the shop when it happened and he went over and evaluated and said he thought she would be ok, said Janice Walls, JR's his and hers employee.

Moye has been cited with failing to yield.

Harrison was not hurt in the crash that briefly blocked all lanes of traffic.
