APD: Robber, shooter are the same person

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Investigators with the Albany Police Department say the man who robbed the PeoplesSouth Bank on Wednesday is the same person who shot a woman twice at a home on Tuesday.

LaShawn Moore, 35, is wanted by police and is considered armed and extremely dangerous. Officials said Moore has a family connection in Dawson, but did not elaborate further.

According to police, the PeoplesSouth Bank on North Westover Boulevard was robbed at 9:58 a.m.

They said Moore, who was wearing a navy blue coat and hat, walked up to the counter and handed a teller a note demanding money.

The teller gave him an undisclosed amount of cash, and he left the bank in a dark grey Nissan Altima with a license plate number PPK5280.

Police did not say if Moore was armed at the time of the robbery.

Just one day before, Police say it was Moore who shot Krystal Jackson, age 30, twice at a home on Bennington Lane near Darton State College and Westover High School. But investigators said the shooting was not reported until nearly 24 hours later.

There was no word on the extent of Jackson's injuries.
