Four arrested in Valdosta shooting

VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -  The Valdosta Police Department Investigations Bureau arrested Justin Rashad Foster and JuMonta Huggie for a shooting incident that occurred Monday on the 1100 block of E. Park Avenue. Tonisha Finch, 20, was injured in the incident.

Foster and Huggie were brought to the Valdosta Police Department for questioning before being transported to the Lowndes County Jail. Arrest warrants were signed on Foster for four counts of Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime, and Discharging a Firearm in the Roadway. 

Arrest warrants were signed on Huggie for four counts of Party to the Crime of Aggravated Assault. Dejanira Wade, who was arrested the night of the incident, was charged with Misdemeanor Obstruction.

Khadisha Williams and Dejanira Wade, 20, along with  Justin Rashad Foster, 18 and JuMonta Huggie, 17,  all of Valdosta are charged in connection with this incident.

    Several Albany churches are joining hands this week to end violence through prayer by hosting a continued tent revival tour in areas of high crime.  Fisherman of Men for Christ and five other churches will have a tent-gathering starting Monday, until Friday on the corner of West Whitney and Jefferson Street.

    A number of volunteers from counties surrounding Arlington, assisted the American red Cross by giving food to those in need for disaster storm relief efforts.     The Southwest Georgia American Red Cross Chapter stepped in immediately on Saturday to open a comfort station for folks in Arlington.  It was stationed at a gym on Pioneer Road after the storm damaged a number of homes.

    It's been a little over 24 hours since a severe storm swept through Arlington, leaving folks to pick up the pieces.  Sunday night, Arlington Police said a number of residents are still without power and water in that city.
