VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - A Valdosta woman, accused of being connected to a shooting in Valdosta Monday night, was in custody Tuesday.
The shooter was still on the loose as as of 3 p.m. Tuesday.
20 year-old Khadisha Williams was charged with four counts of party to the crime of aggravated assault. Police said she was driving in the 1100 block of East Park Avenue around 7:45 Monday night when she saw someone she had gotten into an argument with earlier in the day.
She pulled up next to the car and someone else inside her car opened fire, shooting 20 year-old Tanisha Finch in the leg. Finch went to South Georgia Medical Center for treatment but was released a short time later.
"There had been an argument earlier in the day between a couple people," said Valdosta Police Department Lieutenant Aaron Kirk. "They came into contact while they were on East Park Avenue, 1100 block. The offender vehicle pulled up beside the vehicle that Mrs. Finch was riding in and fired several shots."
Kirk said Finch was believed to have been the intended target. He would not say who police believe fired the shots, but did say they expect to make more arrests soon.
