Valdosta road closed for storm basin repair

VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - The City of Valdosta Stormwater Division will repair the catch basin located on the corner of N. Patterson and College Streets, on Wednesday, Dec. 17 and Thursday, Dec. 18.

Due to the nature of the repair, the work will affect the outside travel lane and will require a lane shift for southbound traffic.

The work will be performed between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day, with the lane re-opening at the end of each day.

Traffic control devices will be in place during work hours to alert motorists of the work, and traffic will be detoured appropriately. Motorists are urged to use caution when driving through this area, for their safety and the safety of the workers.

For more information, call the Engineering Department at (229) 259-3530.
